$4 million supercar crash in Japan

A convoy of supercars travelling on an expressway in Japan met with a big accident after the leading car crashed into a barrier. No one was seriously injured

A group of supercars in Japan were travelling to a supercar gathering in Hiroshima when they met with a huge car crash. The crash took place on the Chugoku Expressway in southern Japan.

An eye witness told the authorities that the car leading the convoy crashed into a barrier and spun off onto the road resulting in the supercars behind it piling up onto one another. In total eight Ferraris, two Mercedes-Benzes, a Lamborghini Diablo, a Nissan Skyline and a Toyota Prius were amongst the cars involved in the accident.

The Expressway had a speed limit of 80 km/h enforced at the time of the accident due to rain that had occurred earlier and made the road slippery. The expressway was closed for more than six hours as authorities cleaned up the wreckage.
