A website lets you send "time capsule" emails to your future self.

Futureme.org works like a simple webmail service, but lets you specify the date when the message will arrive - be it a warning, advice, or simply a "Hello!" from the past, Daily Mail reported Saturday.

"FutureMe.org is based on the principle that memories are less accurate than e-mails," says the site.

The site says: "Send your future self some words of inspiration. Or maybe give 'em swift kick in the pants. Or just share some thoughts on where you'll or what you'll be up to in a year, three years ... more? And then we'll do some time travel magic and deliver the letter to you."

The site recommends using a Gmail address or other webmail address, rather than a work one - your future self might well have changed job.

But you can also go back into your email "to the future" and alter it to ensure delivery.

The site allows you to send emails privately and anonymously, but publishes "public but anonymous" excerpts of mails sent to various future selves.

While it may not have been the most amazing product launch ever, Nintendo's new 3DS held its own.

Nearly 440,000 units were sold in its first week after going on sale March 27, Nintendo said. That is a bit less than some analysts had predicted, and it's a far cry from being the most successful video game system launch, but it is a solid start. The 3DS is Nintendo's most expensive handheld system ever, and it launched without a headlining Nintendo franchise (Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Kirby, etc).

So in the scheme of things, it's not too bad. Nintendo added its own PR spin, tallying up 3DS and regular DS sales for all of March, allowing it to say it sold more handheld systems than any other March in the company's history.

Nintendo said in March, it sold 860,000 handhelds, though it's unclear exactly how many of those were 3DS units, since the first-week figure of 440,000 was split between March and April.

The fate of the 3DS is still to be determined, though many consumers feel Nintendo rushed it to the market. It isn't even a fully finished product, since one of the main features - a digital download platform that will allow users to buy classic Game Boy titles as well as brand new 3DS games directly from the device - won't be available until this summer. Nintendo will be updating systems that are already on the market.

The DS library is still holding strong for Nintendo, though the company is facing a serious maturity issue right now. It's expected the company will unveil a successor to the Wii at E3 in June.

The designer Antoine Brieux has designed a special device called the HTC Tablet Tube, consisting of a 10-inch touchscreen with 6400 mAh battery and a card that contains all of the rest of the hardware that can be extracted and inserted into an envelope with a screen and a smaller battery to turn into a smartphone.

HTC Tube Tablet is interesting and technologically feasible, but perhaps the cost savings of such a solution does not compensate for the added convenience that you get with two independent devices.

Samsung has unveiled three new Bluetooth headsets designed for each different function: it is of the entry level HM1610, HM3600 and the lightweight stereo headset Modus 6450.
